📜 SMART TabbyBoo PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY

Dear Customer,

Thank you for purchasing and using products under the registered trademark SMART TabbyBoo. Through this document, we aim to inform you about the essential aspects regarding the warranty of the products sold and delivered by us.

All products and their accessories marketed by BEST ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES S.R.L. benefit from a legal conformity warranty, in accordance with applicable legislation, for the period specified in the Warranty Certificate.
The warranty period starts from the date the purchased product enters your possession. In the case of courier delivery, the date of receipt of the parcel will be considered.

For all marketed products, you will find the Warranty Certificate printed inside the package. Please keep it throughout the entire warranty period, together with the invoice and proof of payment, in order to benefit from the warranty.

🛡️ What does the warranty cover?

The warranty covers only manufacturing defects and lack of conformity that occur under normal conditions of use, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and SMART TabbyBoo safety guides.

If the product becomes defective during the warranty period:

✅ We provide free diagnosis and repair in an authorized SMART TabbyBoo service center.
✅ We arrange courier pickup of the product and its return after repair.
➡️ Shipping costs are covered by us only for warranty repairs.


⚠️ What is NOT covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not apply to defects caused by improper use, negligence, or normal wear and tear. Specifically, the warranty is void or not applicable in the following cases:

❌ Normal wear and use over time

By normal wear and tear we mean deterioration that occurs gradually as a result of daily use, without the existence of a manufacturing defect.

The following are not considered manufacturing defects:

  • cracking or fissuring of plastic components occurring over time;

  • deterioration of the case or strap caused by normal mechanical stress;

  • repeated mounting/dismounting of accessories;

  • fine scratches, discoloration, or aesthetic changes occurring over time;

These situations are not covered by the warranty, even if no visible impact or mechanical shock has occurred.


❌ Unauthorized interventions

  • Modification, disassembly, or repair performed by unauthorized persons;

  • Use of non-original parts, batteries, cables, or chargers.

❌ Physical damage and accidents

  • Impacts, drops, mechanical shocks, cracked or broken screens;

  • Contact with liquids, dust, sand, humidity, or chemical substances;

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures;

  • Mechanical overstress (pulling cables, bending, forcing ports).

❌ Improper charging

  • Use of fast chargers (9V, 12V, Fast / Quick Charge);

  • Charging the device in humid environments or on textile surfaces;

  • Leaving the device charging unattended for extended periods;

  • Use of damaged cables or improper power outlets.

❌ Improper use

  • Installation, maintenance, or storage that does not comply with SMART TabbyBoo safety instructions;

  • Using the product as a toy (throwing, biting, intentional dropping);

  • Leaving the battery completely discharged for long periods.

❌ Other situations

  • Expiration of the warranty period;

  • Defects caused by force majeure (fire, floods, earthquakes).


🔋 Important recommendations to protect your warranty

✔️ Use only the original charger included in the package.
✔️ Perform repairs exclusively in authorized SMART TabbyBoo service centers.
✔️ Charge the device correctly and avoid prolonged complete battery discharge.
✔️ SMART TabbyBoo products are not toys – children must use them under adult supervision.


📅 Repair timeframe

Any repair or replacement will be carried out within a reasonable timeframe, depending on the nature of the defect.
The maximum resolution period shall not exceed 30 calendar days, in accordance with applicable legislation, calculated from the date the product is received by the authorized service center.

For products outside the warranty period, paid service may be provided, including shipping costs.


📜 Your legal rights

This warranty policy does not affect your statutory consumer rights, as provided by applicable legislation, including:

  • Law no. 449/2003 on the sale of products and associated guarantees;

  • Government Ordinance no. 21/1992 on consumer protection;

  • Updated legislation on legal conformity warranty (minimum 24-month legal warranty for natural persons).


📝 Final note

The warranty means free repair of manufacturing defects.
It does NOT cover defects caused by improper use, normal wear and tear, or external factors.
